1994 Royal Bank Canadian Figure Skating ChampionshipsThis fonds contains Don Sprague's records of the organising committee for the 1996 World Figure Skating Championships held in Edmonton. As chairman of the local organising committee, Sprague's records include administrative and financial records, media information, promotional material, and event reports. This fonds also has artwork submitted for a World Figure Skating Championship logo contest, posters for the event, pennants from Japan, and the flags of Canada, Japan, Hokkaido, and the United States.
1996 World Figure Skating ChampionshipsThis series consists of records related to the operational functions of the Garneau Community League. At the head of the community league was the executive committee which was elected by the registered members of the community league. The manager of the Garneau Community Centre reported to the executive committee along with the heads of the various sub-committees and clubs such as the Planning Committee and the Tennis and Lawn Bowling clubs. The executive committee was responsible for many of the initiatives undertaken by the League such as the Street Signs Project and organizing the programs that took place at the Centre. This series contains minutes, reports, correspondence, grant applications, contracts, newsletters, and programmes. These records provide context for the Community League’s role within the community and within Edmonton as a city. Also included are documents concerning leasing of the Garneau Community Centre to Catalyst Theatre.

This series consists of records relating to external agencies that have regular dealings with the City of Edmonton in its capacity to provide a safe, healthy and vibrant city, including Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues, School Boards, sports organizations and other community organizations. These organizations may use City facilities to provide programs for recreation, sports, arts, culture, and education.

This series consists of records that Cam and Joy created and collected mostly through the 1950s to the 1990s including their involvement both professionally and personally in environmental organizations, environmental protest, the creation of wildlife sanctuaries, their feedback on various environmental projects by the City of Edmonton and the Province of Alberta, Cam and Joy’s work in Edmonton Parks, and their later birding and nature exploration column with the Edmonton Journal. It also includes some records of their son Brett Finlay, now Dr. Finlay, and his involvement with the Junior Nature Federation and environmental protest. It also includes some records not related to environmental activities including some Edmonton history books, an early computer users group, and Joy’s pottery hobby.
This fonds consists of an information brochure on the Council, annual report (1974), list of presidents (1962-1976) and an operational summary as of July 1975 including a history and list of accomplishments to that date.
Alberta Aviation CouncilThe series consists of records pertaining to the Alberta Rugby Union (ARU) from 1967 to 1989 including annual reports, handbooks, correspondence, by-laws, certificate of incorporation and financial records. These records provide representation of the relationship between the Edmonton Rugby Union and the ARU.
Alberta Rugby UnionThe collection consists of a medal and ribbon commemorating the Edmonton Exhibition 1911 and two Commonwealth Games scarves (1978).
