This series contains material related to the administration of the Edmonton Ambulance Authority. It includes minutes of the Edmonton Medical Services Advisory Committee, reports, and financial statements.
This series consists of the AIDS Network of Edmonton’s administrative files including constitution and certificate of Incorporation; fundraising and educational resources; as well as a sub-series of records related to the Gay Men’s Outreach Committee (GMOC). The records are organized as Administration, Information/Resources and GMOC.
HIV EdmontonThe fonds consists of correspondence relating to his activities as a candidate for the North-West Territories Legislature, service as Secretary-Treasurer of the Town of Strathcona, N.W.T., officer of the Strathcona Liberal Association and Premier of Alberta. There is also one framed photographic collage, first mayor and council, Strathcona, 1899.
Also included are documents relating to Alexander Cameron Rutherford and the Town of Strathcona, possibly acquired by Doug Babcock during his research for his biography, 'Alexander Cameron Rutherford : A Gentleman of Strathcona', 1980.
The fonds consists of guest books from various Camsell Hospital functions, a hospital visitor's log, Christmas menus and cards, Long Service Award event programs, and photographs. The photographs include images of the hospital buildings throughout its history, portraits of board members of the hospital, and outdoor scenes of Indigenous people.
Charles Camsell HospitalThe fonds consists of five letters written by Dr. Thomas H. Whitelaw and sent to periodicals based in eastern Canada. The narratives describe Whitelaw’s journey across Canada by rail and his perspective of the town during the closing days of the Klondike. Whitelaw also sets himself a vocal proponent of Edmonton by encouraging people to move west and take advantage of the growing community.
Also included in the records is a prescription written on Dr. Whitelaw’s prescription pad dated April 26th, 1899.
The photographs consist of an image of Main Street Edmonton (looking west in August 1898), an image of one of Edmonton’s mines, an image of mine workers, and a composite image of the Edmonton Y.M.C.A Maple Leaf Club membership from 1914 - 1915.

The fonds consists of records pertaining to the Edmonton Public Welfare Board from 1914 to 1925. The records include minutes, reports, finances, correspondence, and by-law. Also included in the fonds are minutes, reports, and cases dealt with by the Visiting Committee, later known as the Advisory Committee, and minutes from the Committee on Unemployment.
Edmonton Board of Public WelfareThe fonds consists of documents relating to the incorporation of the Edmonton Crèche Society, changes in name, and final disposition of funds, minute books, annual, committee and matron's reports, financial statements. Also included are scrapbooks of newspaper clippings, the gavel of the society, and the corporate seal of the society.
Edmonton Crèche and Day Nursery SocietyThis fonds includes records of two predecessor fonds, though they are not easily separable in the records. -- minutes and other documents of the Edmonton Public Hospital/City Hospital/Royal Alexandra Hospital and minutes and other documents of the Strathcona General Hospital. There are minutes and other documents of the Edmonton Hospital Board from its inception in 1913 to 1960, including minutes of three organizations created to support the board - the Royal Alexandra Hospital Association (1913-1926), Strathcona Hospital Committee (1913-1915) and Isolation Hospital Committee (1913-1914). There are also materials placed in the cornerstone of the Royal Alexandra Hospital in 1910.
Edmonton Hospital BoardThe fonds consists of records pertaining to the Edmonton Ladies Pharmaceutical Auxiliary (E.L.P.A.) including minutes, correspondence, financial records, membership lists, constitution and by-laws. The fonds also includes photographs and scrapbooks along with audio visual records of their events. Some records are related to the Canadian Pharmaceutical Association, the Alberta Pharmaceutical Association (A.P.H.A) and the Edmonton Druggist Association and their histories. As wives of members of the A.P.H.A. and the Edmonton Druggist Association, members of the E.L.P.A. attended their conventions and conferences.
Edmonton Ladies Pharmaceutical Auxiliary
